Typographic experiment with typography using Touch Designer.
In this experiment, we explore the spectrum of Unicode characters through the use of the GNU Unifont typeface.
Unifont is one of the few typefaces that includes all possible characters within the Unicode standards. In a primitive yet effective way, the font materializes every existing character from the digitized alphabets recognized by Unicode so far.
Taking advantage of this bitmap font’s potential, the project displays a series of random characters from the Unicode system.
To give a voice to each character, we use the ElevenLabs API to generate real-time audio as each character is rendered.
This system, designed to run in real-time, is capable of navigating the entire Unicode spectrum—what we see here is just a small excerpt.
