This project is part of the Disintegration series. This series explores the idea of bringing William Basinski's concept from "The Disintegration Loops" into the visual realm.

With melancholy and memory as a starting point, this experiment develops the idea of the degradation of memories through imagery. This video was created with thousands of images generated through hundreds of chained JPG encodings until the original material became unrecognizable.

After creating the degraded versions of each frame, these were edited so that the degradation could be controlled over time.

For audio generation, we used Meta's Audiocraft AI to create a soundtrack inspired by the aforementioned Disintegration Loops.
